Adding 2FA to your Deltek CostPoint Account
The purpose of these instructions is to guide users through the process of setting up two-factor authentication (2FA) for their CostPoint account using the Microsoft Authenticator app. By following these steps, users will log in to Deltek, access their user preferences, and configure their account to use 2FA. This involves scanning a QR code from a PDF downloaded from CostPoint, which will generate a 6-digit rotating code labeled "CostPoint 2FA" in the Authenticator app. Once the setup is complete, users will need to enter this 6-digit code from the Microsoft Authenticator app each time they log in to CostPoint, enhancing the security of their account.
-Login to Deltek:
-Click your UserID in the top right of your screen
-Select 'Configure User Preferences'
-Click the Dropdown arrow next to the printer icon, select 'Display 2FA Activation Barcode
-Open the downloaded PDF
-Open your Microsoft Authenticator App
-Click the Scan QR code button
-Scan the QR code located in the PDF you downloaded from CostPoint
-You should now see a 6-Digit Rotating number with a CostPoint 2FA label on your Authenticator homescreen
-Refresh the page, click the dropdown next to the gears
-Select 'Complete 2FA Enrollment
-Once you logout, you will need to enter your 6-digit code in the Microsoft Authenticator app when you login to CostPoint
